The white rabbit

I was reading PAN-DAN, a very nice blog about contemporary design, and I found this rabbit, designed by Studio-Re-Creation.

"'The White (Jack) Rabbit ' is not 'cute', it is all knowing naughty, courageous and tricky. The enlarged hare represents an alternative Alice in Wonderland 'follow the white rabbit' journey. Materials: Pieces of old wooden furniture connected together by screws (baby beds and chairs)."

Studio-Re-Creation, run by Nikola Nikolov in the Netherlands, is a studio that does more than re-cycle or re-use materials, but it helps to preserve belongings and memories that would otherwise be neglected or thrown away.

Lauren Rolwing

Lauren Rolwing (b. 1984) is an American illustrator and designer. Her work is fresh, happy and colourful. This poster though, is a rare exception. If you visit Lauren's website you'll find a great body of work, mainly based on her handmade illustrations. Apart from that, you'll see a big list of exhibitions she has participated and awards she has won!

Dog Tooth

There is something disturbing about Christina Christoforou's illustrations that makes them unique and powerful. This creature was awarded at the Greek Design and Illustration Awards.
Christina gave up advertising a couple of years ago. She, now, spends her time between London and Athens illustrating. Have a look at her work here.
