Today is my birthday so I decided to upload one of my posters. This is a poster I did for a video projection project organised by the Greek Designers Association in the occasion of the first European Design Awards in 2007. For more work check the design shop.

NAS

Remo Caminada won a Gold Award at the European Design Awards for the packaging of Andreas Caminada food products. While I was searching in his website thought I found a lot of amazing typographic posters. This is one of them. If you want to see the winning packaging follow this link.

Ten Images go Silver!

I said that in this blog I'm going to share images I find on the net. Well, this one I didn't find on the net, I found it in our studio (the design shop). The catalogue we designed last year for the Ten Images for Ithaca exhibition, won this years Silver Award on it's category at the European Design Awards in Zurich. We also got to Bronze Awards (for this and this). We are very happy!

Posters in Braille

This poster (actually it is a series of posters) won the gold award in the European Design Awards. Made for a Stevie Wonder's tribute party, these posters juxtaposed song titles and their translation into braille. Designed by the Spanish studio Bendita Gloria, founded in 2007 in Barcelona. It's really worth it to check their portfolio!

Schauspielhaus

Raffinerie is one of the best design studios I saw in Zurich. It was not in the ED Conference but it was in one of the design walks that were organized as parallel events. On the communication material they produced for Schauspielhaus, Gill Sans Ultra Bold is the protagonist.

I just came back from the European Design Conference and Awards in Zurich. I saw a lot of amazing designs that I'm going to post in the following days. The first one comes from an office in Luxembourg called a | part.

Alex Trochut

Alex Trochut leaves and works in Barcelona but today he is going to be in Zurich as he is talking at the European Design Conference. I'm quoting from the ED website: "Alex Trochut's illustrations, designs and typography take the modern notion of minimalism and flip it on its side. Trochut's work philosophy is "More is more." It is rich with elegant, brilliantly detailed executions that simultaneously convey indulgence and careful, restrained control. Trochut is driven by a desire to constantly evolve which can be seen in his eclectic body of work."

National Theatre of Greece

MNP won this year's Mega Award at the Greek Design and Illustration Awards. This came as no surprise as mnp is one of the most creative and successful design agencies in Greece with many awards and distinctions. Their work for the Greek National Theatre included a major rebranding with new logotype and identity as well all the promotional material, the programmes and the website.
