move on?

., originally uploaded by 3-rsj.
Sinavil has been inactive for a long time. One reason was that the last few months were full of changes as I moved to London and I almost had no free time. On the other hand I find blogger quite unfriendly so I have decided to stop this blog and give it a go somewhere else, with the same name...

So, this will be the last post at blogger. It is a wonderful photo by Robert Johnson.

Andy Gilmore

People who know me, know that I love geometrical patterns and this is why I love the work of Andy Gilmore, a draftsman, designer, and musician based in Rochester, NY. His designs made of patterns are dreamy and magical, complex interpretations of a simply norm. He has worked for Wired Magazine, The New York Times, Dazed&Confused and his work was on the cover of the latest issue of Creative Review Magazine. He currently exhibits his work in Berlin, at the Pool Gallery. Check out his work: site, blog a, blog b, flickr.

Yosigo

I had a huge problem trying to select just one photo out of Yosigo's site. It is not just the big number of photographs that are presented on this website but mainly their supreme quality. Technical and sentimental qualities. Yosigo is the Spanish photographer Jose Javier Serrano. He leaves in San Sebastian and his favourite subject is people and their enviroment. He has an amazing collection of photographs from the beach, most of them from San Sebastian, that combine reality and dream, crowd and loneliness, statement and absence. He also has a blog and a flickr account.

Global Summer

Global Summer No. 14. This is the title of this atmospheric-summery-melancholic-dreamy picture by Yiorgos Kordakis. Kordakis is a Greek photographer born in 1973. He has exhibited in France, England, Germany and Greece. He is represented by M+B Gallery in the States and Frissiras Gallery in Greece. This is his personal site (a little bit stiff in navigating though).
